Anlänt i Tallin
Den här helgen spenderar jag i Tallin tillsammans med familjen! Intressant resa på flera sätt! Det var väldigt längesen jag var i Baltikum. Senast var en weekend i Riga som var otroligt bra. Det var också väldigt längesedan jag var på resa med familjen. Det var nästan fem år sen, så det är verkligen speciellt. Min stora fundering kring detta är om det är dom eller jag som förändrat mitt beteende på resa? Jag är helt förundrad över agerandet i vissa situationer… 😛
Idag har vi iallafall käkat på en klassisk medeltidsrestaurang i gamla stan i Tallin. Vad det sägs den typiska turistfällan, men jag är faktiskt helt klart nöjd med upplevelsen! Maten var grymt bra och det kändes relativt autentiskt. Framförallt var det inte pretentiöst alls. Kanske är svårt att vara det när man låtsas komma från 1300-talet…
För andra gången i mitt liv åt jag torkat kött till öl. Den här gången till honungsöl (det i sig en rätt unik upplevelse att prova). Förra gången jag gjorde det var det renkött, och denna gång älgkött. Det är något speciellt med att äta torkat kött. Det är så segt att man nästan skulle behöva bettskena för att tänderna inte ska ta skada av det. Samtidigt gör sältan och den rika smaken att det blir det perfekta tilltugget till öl. Chips, nötter eller vad som helst annat man kan äta till öl känns löjligt i jämförelse…
Det är fruktansvärt dåligt väder i Tallin just nu. Det är en sådan dag när man enbart känner för att sitta inne och titta på en bra film. Den stora frågan är om det verkligen finns några bra filmer på Estnisk TV, och jag har ingen bra film på min iPad, så det kan bli svårt att lösa…
Vi har hunnit prata ganska mycket om vad alla släktingar gör och hur de mår just nu. Om morfar fortfarande är lika intresserad av börsen, mormor fortfarande inte kan ta det lugnt för att hon måste plocka, fixa, diska och städa precis hela tiden, en av kusinerna som precis startat eget inom städbranshen etc. Kusinen som startat städföretag och bland annat kommer att ägna sig åt flyttstädning i Örebro hoppas jag att det kommer att gå bra för. Jag vet dock inte om han kan åta sig städning i Stockholm, men det finns ju många andra städbolag som gör.
Imorgon ska jag träffa en kompis som jag inte träffat sen senast jag var i New York. Han bor i Tallin, och det ska bli mkt skönt att slippa enbart Turista och träffa någon som kan den här staden på riktigt. Det är ju så jag brukar resa, så varför ska jag gå ifrån det nu när jag är här med familjen..?
